We had a sunny morning on 1st May for our May Day gardening. Again we had a super group of volunteers, including our regular junior helpers and a friendly robin happy to have a great supply of worms!
We weeded, trimmed box hedges, cleared some side beds and dug out plenty of bindweed roots. Some persistent frost meant we did not prune any more roses - that will be for the next session, next month. Although one rose has decided to make a bid for being the first bloom of the season!
