Spring has sprung!

Pruning of roses was the key task in March. George, our retired head gardener, was able to give us clear guidance on the pruning of roses. It's surprising how much needs to be cut back, looking for outward facing buds and giving space to the center of the rose bush. Plus we did weeding of the rose beds.

The daffodils and hyacinths are coming out, the clematis is in full flower and the spring buds on the magnolia are starting to open.

We had a very energetic and enthusiastic group of our volunteers helping out - thank you! Very happy to see one of our young volunteers back with us too!
